The 2013 PNW Regional tournament at the Elks lodge was held Memorial weekend and finished up on Sunday rather than Monday. The turnout was smaller than last years but was a lot of fun and competitive. We had 12 teams for the A-B draw that was held on Friday night. 1st place finishers were Mike Strayer & Dennis James, 2nd place was John Fischer & Brian Peterson and 3rd place was Nels Anderson & Bob Hurst.
On Saturday morning the singles Division 1 & 2 was held. We had 9 players for each Division. In Division 1 we had Grant Manning take 1st place with Mario Briones finishing 2nd and big Joe Pazkowski taking 3rd place. In Division 2 we had Aaron Nelson take 1st place with Jackie (Pit bull) Stolarich finishing 2nd with Dennis James taking 3rd place.
On Sunday morning we started the doubles play and had 9 teams in the Division 1 and 5 teams participating in the Division 2. In Division 1 finishing in 1st place was the boys from up north Joe Pazkowski and Mario Briones. Coming in 2nd place was Nels Anderson and Billy Powell with Kenny Simmons and Jeff Mercer taking 3rd.
My thanks to all my friends who help set up the boards as well as everything thing else that had to do with making this happen. Without them it would be impossible to run this event. Another big thanks goes out to all who participated in the Tournament.
