Played at the Red Dog Saloon in Port Orchard, September 19 was the date this year for the 2009 tournament. Although the tourney is defined Hudson-Steffenson all the fallen players from the Northwest are recognized.
Since the ABC draws are so popular in this area the usual AB format was set aside for the three person team event. Twenty four players signed up early Saturday morning waiting to be teamed up. Thanks to Mike Waters and his “staff” the draw goes fast, the calcutta gets started, the bracket is completed and play begins amazingly quick.
The team of Gary George, Linda Steffenson, and Sheri Davis won the winners bracket only to be beaten by Clark Kenney, Bill Walker, and Bill Renskers to force a twenty one point game play off. A lot of excitement for an early Sunday morning. Gary, Linda and Sheri were the victors for this tournament. Clark, Bill, and Bill had to settle for second. Mike Waters, Justin Kasa, and Carolyn Floyd took third.
Claire Kenney and Justin Kasa won the Friday night draw. Clark Kenney and Bill Walker second.
