Joyce Gamble – Congratulations to our winners of the Heartland Winter Handicap tournament, held January 19-20, 2018 at the American Legion 73 in Del City, Oklahoma. We had two events with 22 players registered for each event.
We would also like to acknowledge Tom French, a very special man who donates his time and expertise helping get boards ready for all shuffleboard tournaments held at the American Legion 73 in Del City. He does a great job and he has worked hard to get each board in its best playing condition and traveling many of those 65 mile trips from Wynnewood to Del City and then back. Thank you, Tom French!
Also, many thanks to all players and other staff and volunteers who helped during the Heartland Winter Handicap, including Darrel Poteet for doing the brackets, Jack Davis for the auction, and Rena Fleming for helping on the desk. Thanks to the American Legion staff for all their support and supplying the boards and staffing the kitchen and lounge.
Our next tournament at the American Legion 73 in Del City will be will be the Heartland Spring Handicap Tournament in April, followed by the 26th Annual SW OPEN during the 4th of July week tournament, then the Heartland Fall Handicap tournament in October. Hope to see you there.
Also, don’t forget the Wynnewood tournaments at the Full House for this coming year, being the February Sweetheart Draw tournament, the March Saint Patrick Day tournament, Memorial Day weekend tournament in May, and the Labor Day weekend tournament.
Thanks to all the Tulsa players for their support of shuffleboard, not only in Tulsa, but in Del City and Wynnewood and in the surrounding multi-state tournaments.
