The Steelville Country Club held the first leg of its Bi-Annual ABC and Bring Partner Shuffleboard tournaments on May 18-19, 2012. The turnout was very light actually it was the worst ever. If participation does not increase, this tournament will be played only once a year or not at all and that would be a shame.
Steelville has a very friendly atmosphere with great Drink and Food prices. Also, Kathy has been donating $500 raised from local sponsors’ and there are no Registration fees to be paid by the players. It doesn’t get much better than that so if at all possible please try to attend this tournament. This is a great first Out-Of-Town tournament to play in for anyone who has not left their local Venue to play.
The ABC event was held on Friday with 6 teams competing. Third place went Diane Varela-Bill Anderson-Dixie Bobbitt. Second place went to Donna Miller-Donna Beasley-John Derennaux. And First place went to Larry Romay-Bill Barks-Tate Tellier.
The Bring Partner was held on Saturday with 6 teams competing. Third place went to Justin and Tyler Sparks. Second place went to Bill Barks and John Derennaux. And First place went to Jerry Romay and Donna Miller. Thanks to everyone who participated and Special thanks to Kathy Anderson for donating $500 to the prize money.
