By Larry Romay – The Steelville Country Club held its second leg of its Bi-Annual ABC and Bring Partner shuffleboard tournaments. The ABC event was held on Friday night with 27 players (9 teams) competing in this event. Third place went to Mike Polson, Angie Coker, and Dave Cornick. Second place went to Shirley Cothran, Donna Beasley, and Bill Barks. And First place went to Florence Hicks, Judy Doran, and Julie Ray.
The Bring Partner event was held on Saturday and consisted of 10 teams. Taking Third place was Florence Hicks and Shirley Cothran. Second place went to Mike Morard and John Boyer. And First place went to Angie Coker and Jerry Romay. Angie and Jerry lost their first game but battled all the way thru the loser’s bracket to take first place. Congratulations to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers way to go guys. I would like to thank Kathy Anderson for donating $175 prize money to each event. Also, thanks goes to John Boyer-Computer(Who Knew) and Mike Polson-Calcutta.
